Jonas Faulkner is a mysterious man who stumbled into the woods just outside of Esk while sporting a bullet wound to the chest. When asked about his past, Jonas has a tendency to veer the conversation toward something else or make more witty commentary, indicating that he by no means wants to deal with anything that has happened to him prior to the story. Patrick Armand is currently investigating the connection that Jonas appers to share with Esk's sudden encounters with the dead.
The author describes Jonas best: "He's charming and witty at his best, arrogant and manipulative at his worst." Jonas' charisma and manner of persuasion often forces the opinions of his company in his favor.
